Knowledgebase Staff CP Settings
This section allows you to choose various knowledgebase related settings for the Staff CP.
Display Knowledgebase Tab: This setting allows you to enable/disable the display of Knowledgebase tab in Staff CP.
Enable WYSIWYG Editor: This setting allows you to enable/disable the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for creating or editing of Knowledgebase Articles.
General Support Center Knowledgebase Settings
This section allows you to choose the optimize settings related to the Knowledgebase module for the Client Support Center.
Display Knowledgebase Widget: This option if disabled will not display the knowledgebase widget in the Client Support Center. Using this feature you can disable the knowledgebase section.
Enable Article Rating: This setting if enabled will allow the clients to rate an existing knowledgebase article.
Count Articles under Sub Categories: SupportSuite will count articles under Sub Categories whenever you insert/update an article under a category if this setting is enabled.
Override Category Display Order Field: This option allows to you to choose the display order in which the Categories should be sorted in the Client Support Center. If Default Display Order is selected, the software shall display the Categories in the display order specified when they were created.
Category Order of Display: This setting allows you to choose the display order for the Categories.
Override Article Display Order Field: This option allows to you to choose the display order in which the Articles should be sorted in the Client Support Center. If Default Display Order is selected, the software shall display the Articles in the display order specified when they were created.
Category Order of Display: This setting allows you to choose the display order for the Categories.
Support Center Category Index Settings
This section allows you to set the Knowledgebase Category Index for the Client Support Center.
Maximum Number of Articles to Display under Category List: Specify the maximum number of articles the software should display under the category list.
Display More Topics link under Category List: This setting if enabled, will display a ‘more topics’ link under the Category list.
Display Article Details under Category List: This setting if enabled, will display the article details.
Character Limit for Article Content: Specify the number of characters of an article should the software display under the category index. Setting the option to 0 will turn the feature off.
Support Center Index Page Settings
This section allows you to configure knowledgebase settings for the Client Support Center index page.
Display Popular Articles Quick Box: Setting if enabled will display the Popular Articles Box in the Client Support Center.
Maximum Number of Articles to Display in Popular Articles Box: Specify the maximum number of articles the software should display under the Popular Articles box if enabled.
Display View Count in Popular Articles Box: The software shall display the number of times each of the popular article has been viewed if this setting is enabled.
Display Latest Articles Quick Box: Setting if enabled will display the Latest Articles Box in the Client Support Center.
Maximum Number of Articles to Display in Latest Articles Box: Specify the maximum number of articles the software should display under the Latest Articles box if enabled.
Display Creation Date in Latest Articles Quick Box: The software shall display the date on which the article was created.
Creation Date Format: This setting allows you to configure the display type for the creation date for the Latest Articles section. The software uses the date() PHP function to display the date. For more information refer to the date() functions page.
This section allows you to configure the RSS settings related to the Knowledgebase module.
Enable RSS Feeds for Articles: This setting allows you to enable/disable the RSS Feed for knowledgebase articles under a specific category to which a client can subscribe to.
Character Limit for Article Content: Specify the maximum number of characters of the article content the software should display under the RSS Feed.
Once you have set the option according to your choice, click on the Update Settings tab to save the changes.
