This section allows you to configure various settings related to the News module of the software. The section has been sub-divided into three sub-sections:

– General News Settings
– Support Center News Settings
– RSS Area Settings

General News Settings

This section allows you to choose various News module related settings for the Staff CP.

Display News Tab: This setting allows you to enable/disable the display of the News tab in Staff CP.

Enable WYSIWYG Editor: This setting allows you to enable/disable the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor for creating or editing of News Management Pages.

Support Center News Settings

This section allows you to choose settings related to the News module for the Client Support Center.

Display News Widget: This option if disabled will not display the news widget in the Client Support Center. Using this feature you can disable the news section.

Number of News Items (Per Page): Specify the maximum number of News items the software should display when the client opens the News index.

Validate Subscriber Email: If this setting is enabled the software will validate the Subscribers Email by emailing them a unique link at the specified email address. The subscribers will then have to click on the unique link in order to get their subscriber account activated.

Display Latest News on Index Page (Navigation Bar): This setting allows you to choose if you want the software to display the Latest News in the Navigation Bar.

Maximum Number of News to Display in Navigation Bar: Specify the maximum number of News the software should display in the Navigation Bar.

Display Date beside the News Item in Navigation Bar: This setting if enabled will display the creation date besides the New Items in the Navigation Bar.

Navigation News Date Format: This option allows you to set the date format for the News items. SupportSuite uses the PHP date() function to set the date. By default, the date for the items is displayed as January 01. For more information you can refer to the PHP date() function.

RSS Area Settings

This section allows you to configure the RSS settings related to the News Items.

Enable RSS Content Syndication: This setting allows you to enable/disable the RSS Feed for the News items allowing Support Desk Users to synchronize News Items.

Maximum Limit of Latest News Item for RSS Feed: Specify the maximum number of characters of news items the software should display for the RSS Feed.

Once you have set the option according to your choice, click on the Update Settings tab to save the changes.
